Revolution, Not Resolution, I Say!

                                         Revolution Not Resolution, I Say!

Resolution, to me, signifies a return to battle, an intention to solve something once and for all, to re-visit a problem.

A revolution is a rising up, an overcoming and conquering by moving forward to what lies ahead, forgetting about what’s behind.

I am beginning this revolution first with myself and then I hope to 'take it to the streets.’

2010 began for me at a Spiritual Enrichment Day.  I just dug up the journal where I recorded what I was hearing.  The notes are all about finding the truth within myself, making peace with myself and setting intentions and following my desires; A dedication to placing my thoughts on the positive, on possibility, the ‘above.’ I made a commitment to: make necessary changes, to not make myself too little, to pray for guidance and support, to keep going forward, and to forgive myself when I fail (to stop striving to be perfect, damn it!) – to be more ‘spiritual.’

The speaker at this Enrichment Day stated that the ‘spirit’ shapes the outside harshly and shapes the inside gently.  And that is exactly what happened to me this year.  The year was filled with tumult, the kind that shaped me harshly, yet gently.  Thankfully, the end of the year has brought peace and tranquility to the waters of my life – outside and especially inside.  I’ve returned home, in many ways.  My spirit has been forever altered and I am more alive and awake than I have ever been.

Which brings me to “What Now?”  2011 is here and I am very consciously choosing my intentions for the coming year – deliberately focusing on what is ahead, because I know from experience how powerful this is!

So, I have 'borrowed' an idea from an on-line coach; http://satyacolombo.com/ He has an online “No More B.S. DIY Manifesto,”  which I diligently filled out.  Now I have made my own:
                                               Jenn’s 2011 Manifesto.

I am committed to putting myself out in the world.  I will be a consistent, on-line presence to help people find their own place in the world.  I am committed to spending more time creating and less time being routine and habitual.  I am committed to tuning in to my very personal, true north star by spending time every day honing in on it!  I am committed to being all I can be (without being in the army) because that is what is best for me and everyone in the world.  I am committed to helping people be all that they can be, because that is what is best for them and everyone in the world.

I will be blogging encouraging, enlightening things (hopefully?!) on a regular basis.  I will be setting up a “Coming of Age” ceremony service. I will be offering classes.  I am available for Life Coaching.

Write Your Own Manifesto!
At the end of 2011 what do you want to feel?
What do you want to create this year?
What are you willing to stick to no matter what?
I would be delighted to read yours - post it under "comments" top of the page under the title.
Happy New Year Everyone!

On my journey back to wholeness I have explored many modalities and can honestly say the What Now Life Coaching session was one of the most illuminating (yet non-invasive) interactions I've had.

Jennifer used an interesting variety of tools to further guide me towards my "North Star" (soul's calling) and I walked away feeling grounded, comforted, validated and inspired.
