And Then There Were None
Although, I truly appreciate that my husband mows our lawn, I was upset when he accidentally lopped off the buds of one of my tiger lily plants while doing it. I popped the buds into a small vase with some water and forgot about them. We came back from a weekend away and found the buds flowering!
I also discovered, upon our return, not only were ALL the buds on my tiger lily plants gone, so were ALL the leaves! Everything but the stems of my outdoor flowers had been chewed off!
I genuinely exclaimed; “I’m so glad you broke off those buds, at least I have some lilies!”
Tracing It Backwards
If this seems ‘Pollyanna-ish’ to you, I get it. But I bet you can do it too, easily. Think of something that you are enjoying right now, or something that you have that you value. If you trace its origin backward, you may find that it started out in what you thought of as a bad thing. The relationship you are currently enjoying could be the result of a painful breakup in the past. The good job you have now could be because you got fired, quit and/or didn’t get one you thought was perfect. Go on, try tracing backwards.
Which brings me to the bad thing happening right now. Is there a ‘bad’ thing you’re experiencing in the present and can’t see any way that it is a good thing? That’s ok. Just give it a while. In the meantime, enjoy all the good that is currently happening around you.
I have developed a program specifically centred on the end/ease of emotional/mental struggle and suffering, filled with more ways to create and enjoy the life you want. Stay tuned!
