I am thankful for my privileges, conveniences and comforts. I admit I take many of them for granted. Today, I remember that my mother, my grandmothers, all of my fore-sisters did more than I with far less than I have, and I am deeply, humbly grateful for them, what they gave/accomplished/sacrificed and for what I have.
I am thankful for many, many things I did not personally ‘earn.’ I admit I take them all for granted. Today I remember and am deeply, humbly grateful.
I am thankful for every person in my life. I, like many, believe some are awesome and some are, well, a ‘problem.’ I take many of my people for granted. Today, I remember that Every One, past, present and future, in my life is a blessing, not even disguised, they are all straight up blessings. I am deeply, humbly grateful.
I am thankful for security, safety and freedom. I admit that I take these all for granted. I admit that I expect them. I am aware that for others, security, safety and freedom have never existed, for some, these have been tragically, horrifically violated and for some these have been wrongly revoked. Today, I remember that I enjoy these with my every breath. I am deeply, humbly grateful.
I am thankful for having choices. As I consider, with deep gratitude, my privilege, conveniences, comforts, relationships, security, safety and freedom, from a place of Love and not fear, may I make wise ones.
This weekend we, in Canada, celebrate Thanksgiving.
Sincere Blessings and May Peace Be with You.
